Have you heard of the American Library Association’s Emerging Leaders program? Join host Tom Berman as he interviews Samantha Hull, a 2017 ALA Emerging Leader and Ephrata High School Librarian & Media Coordinator for the Ephrata School District in Lancaster County, PA. Hull shares how she became one of only fifty Emerging Leaders chosen this year from across the nation, and how the sponsorship of the Pennsylvania Library Association enabled her to participate fully in the many conferences, webinars and responsibilities required of an Emerging Leader. Tom and Sam discuss the impact of the program on her career and the contributions Sam has made as a result of being an Emerging Leader, including exciting new developments in the works for Ephrata School District students. Sam encourages all newer library professionals to look for opportunities such as the Emerging Leaders program so that they, too can feel like they have a team of thousands behind them.
