The Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) Conference will return to Erie in 2025! The Bayfront Convention Center offers state-of-the-art meeting facilities with stunning views of the beautiful Presque Isle Bay off Lake Erie.

Conference Planning Committee
The 2025 Conference Planning Committee is hard at work under the direction of chair, Robyn Vittek, Director of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library. Stay tuned for details regarding confirmed speakers and activities as planning progresses and feel free to reach out to committee members with your ideas and of course, willingness to volunteer at the conference!
Call for Presenters!
Call for Session Presenters - Open Now through March 16
The conference will offer 60+ breakout sessions on topics of interest to Pennsylvania librarians. We welcome experts in the field as well as those outside libraries who can provide expertise on topics that will foster new ideas, collaboration and ways to improve library services and support for library staff members. We also encourage our members, as well as those in your network, to consider presenting on topics that would be of interest to your counterparts in other libraries.
Call for Posters - To Open in late April
Posters and Lightning Talks are a great way for librarians to informally share information about successful ideas or programs with their colleagues. For more information, check out our Poster FAQs.
Exhibitors
The Library Products & Services Expo offers one of the best opportunities to reach decision-makers in the Pennsylvania library community. This two-day show offers a concise schedule in an environment that promotes interaction with attendees through no-conflict exhibit time, exhibit hall activities and informal networking opportunities.

Attendee registration will open in June 2025.
Hotel Information
We have reserved blocks of rooms at both the Courtyard by Marriott and Sheraton Erie Bayfront at the conference rate of $150/night plus applicable occupancy taxes.(Currently,13%) Both hotels are attached to the convention center and offer stunning views of Presque Isle Bay. Lodging information will be included with your conference registration confirmation.
