About this Speaker:

Master of Science, Library and Information Science, Drexel University, September 1995. (I also have another master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in music history.)   Director of Library Services, Delaware County Community College, July 2002- present. I manage all aspects of library services for all campuses.  This includes supervising  9 faculty reference librarians, 2 administrators, as well as support staff.  I am responsible for the budget, including the acquisitions for all collections—print and electronic. 

I was hired to implement an information literacy program and to ensure adequate reference services at all campuses, both in-person and virtually.  I recently led the development of a Learning Commons.Prior to DCCC (1999-2002), I built a library-- conceptually and physically—from scratch for Delaware College of Art and Design (a new college at the time).  

I also worked as a cataloger in the manuscripts collection at Winterthur Museum from 1995-1999.I serve as adjunct faculty in Drexel University’s iSchool where I teach a graduate course in Academic Library Services.  Additionally, I’m on the Fulbright Specialists roster in library science.

March 2006 at Immaculata University. "Breaking the Barriers: Delivering Library Services to Students at a Distance.” Lecture delivered at the Pennsylvania Association of Two-Year Schools conference, March 2004, Harrisburg, PA. I also am part of the Delaware County Community College Speaker's Bureau where I often give talks on various aspects of music.
