Description

Our Board of Trustees organized our very first Turkey Trot 5k/1K Kids Fun Run. Board members made numerous phone calls to receive Chinese auction baskets from local businesses and sponsorships of the race. The race was open to children, teens and adults -- they all had the choice to walk or run the route. We had 100 people registered for the event. We were giving away the Great Turkey Race by Steve Metzger to registered children; when the author found out we were doing this, he also was in attendance that day to talk with the children and autograph books!
