Libraries face many challenges, not the least of which is maintaining a safe environment for staff and patrons alike. Threats to libraries are as diverse as our users. This workshop will seek to inform and prepare library staff for a range of issues. Executive Director of the North Huntingdon Township EMS will present "Stop the Bleed", Tom Cully and Cheryl Ferrano from the Butler County Federated Library System will discuss the recent ransomware attack, and finally, Dr. David Ervine, of the Penn Highlands Community College, will speak on ways to better serve patrons who may be living with a mental illness or drug addiction, while ensuring a positive library experience for all.
