Great People Make Great Libraries

The PALS (PaLA Acadamey of Leadership Studies) Committee recognizes that there are many leaders throughout the library field who do not have their  MLS/MLIS for a variety of reasons.  Because of this, the PALS Committee is pleased to announce a new one-day workshop for Non-MLS/MLIS Librarians!

The PALS for Non-MLS/MLIS Librarians will:

• Help non-MLS/MLIS librarians recognize their potential as leaders.
• Provide training and mentoring support for new leaders in the library field.
• Improve library staff retention by recognizing and developing new leadership skills in Pennsylvania's emerging leaders.
• Develop leaders for PaLA and the library profession in Pennsylvania to ensure continuity and effective leadership.
