Pennsylvania Library Association 2017 Conference

The 2017 PaLA Conference: Bridge to the Past, Gateway to the Future, will take place October 15 - 18, 2017 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Pittsburgh - Green Tree. This recently renovated hotel is conveniently located just outside the Pittsburgh city limits and offers the affordability of a suburb location but with easy access to city attractions. The registration brochure, policies and link to online registration are included below for your reference and use.

This publication is your complete guide to sessions, poster sessions, special events/activities and the exhibitor listing, exhibit events, and more!  Note: a copy will be mailed to all PaLA members.  

To easily record the sessions/events you'd like to attend, we suggest that you mark them off on the paper registration form (last  pages of brochure), then proceed to online registration to officially register.  We recommend use of the Chrome browser when registering.

Registration Policies and Deadlines:

1.  Please note the following registration deadlines (Register early, and save!):

  • Early bird registration, with savings of $25/registration, is available through 8/31/2017.  
  • Regular registration rates will be in effect September 1 - 30, 2017
  • Late registration, with a $20 additional fee/per registration will be in effect October 1 - 13, 2017
  • After 10/13/2017, on-site registration, with an additional $10 processing fee will be required.

3.  Lunch is included with registration for each day of attendance, however, you must preregister for all meal events.  Failure to preregister will be considered forfeiture of this benefit of your registration. 

4.  Any corrections or additions to your registration must be made on or before 9/30/2017.  We will be unable to change your registration information after this date, as registration packets will be processed.

5. Refunds will be processed for registration cancellations requested in writing  by 09/30/2017. A $40 processing fee will be applied to all refunds, unless event ticket insurance has been purchased. (More on this when you register.)

6. Meal & Tour registration fees are not refundable, however tickets can be transferred to another individual.

Registration Fee Insurance - New this year, is the availability of third-party insurance to protect your investment in the registration fee should you need to cancel.  More information about the program will be displayed during the registration process.  Please note that should you select this coverage, payment by credit card is required.
