Get Involved with Round Tables!
A roundtable brings together members of a similar interest, where such interests cross inter-divisional lines. A round table's activities are not confined by library location, library type or library activity.
There are currently eight PaLA Round Tables.
- Buildings, Equipment & Furnishings
- Digital Resources
- Library Administration & Management
- Library Support Staff
- Rural & Small Libraries
- Teaching, Learning & Technology
- Technical Services
Join a roundtable as part of your membership registration. Then participate in roundtable activities or volunteer to serve! (Note: membership is not required to participate in roundtable activities, but membership is required to volunteer. Extra fees may apply for non-members attending roundtable events.)
Responsibilities of each Round Table:
Round Table leadership plans programs for the annual conference. The Round Table coordinates program ideas and funding strategies with the association's second vice president.
In addition to annual conference programs, the Round Table may plan programs and meetings of interest to its members. These may be offered independently throughout the state or in conjunction with chapter or division meetings, as well as electronically. Registration fees may be required.
Round Tables may communicate with members and the association in a variety of ways: The Bulletin, statewide and regional electronic mailing lists, as well as this website.
Members of PaLA are eligible for membership in any combination of divisions and round tables, not to exceed three. Membership in additional units may be purchased for a fee.
