Who may apply?
The Directors’ Institute is specially designed for library directors, assistant directors, and branch managers. There is no degree requirement for this workshop, and directors of any experience level are welcome
to apply to develop their leadership skills.
What will I learn?
Participants will work closely with each other and appointed mentors to explore what it means to be both a library director and a library leader. Special sessions with the Office of Commonwealth Library staff will highlight state offered tools to help
all directors lead their libraries no matter how big or how small.
How to apply and deadlines?
Those interested in the Directors' Institute should submit a completed application, resume, statement
of interest, and letter of recommendation to PALSbyPaLA@gmail.com no later than March 5th in order to be considered for sponsorship by a PaLA
Chapter. Those receiving sponsorship elsewhere should submit all application materials as well as a letter of financial responsibility from their sponsoring organization by April 17th.
