The Writing Center and Tutoring program's costs were in extra student work hours to staff the event. The First Year Seminar program paid for the stickers, which were bought in bulk and not personalized. Partnership: Our partners were the W&J First Year Seminar program, the W&J Writing Center, and the W&J Peer Assisted Learning Tutoring program. Description: The Knowledge Quest was part of a larger series of "Scholar Sessions" put on by the First Year Seminar program. The Scholar Sessions are designed to help first year students learn more about campus resources and to help them feel more welcome in a variety of spaces on campus. The Knowledge Quest consisted of students visiting the Library, Writing Center, and one of the tutoring centers on campus. At their first stop, students received a passport (a booklet with information about the three resources and directions for how the rest of the Quest would work) and a sticker to mark that they had visited and learned about the stop's services. They then went on to the other two locations and received stickers and learned about what each location had to offer. We felt that students enjoyed collecting the different stickers and that it was a useful way to connect the Library, Writing Center, and Tutoring program in students' minds since we are physically scattered across campus. The bulk of the event took place over an evening (3 - 6 pm) with flexible hours throughout the rest of the week to allow students with conflicting schedules to still complete their Quest.
