Library Type Public Cost and Funding: 0 Description: Teen and Youth Services Librarian, Carrie Lowery runs a weekly Sensory Storytime for children ages 2-6. It is a welcoming and friendly environment. During the storytime, children and caregivers listen to stories, sing songs, and do rhymes in a unique way. Following the storytime, the children can play with sensory activities. Ms. Carrie also brings in community partners such as occupational and physical therapists to speak to the parents. She has also brought in a service dog to meet the children and learn about safety when approaching unfamiliar animals. |
