Signing Santa

Email Contact: nburke@albright.org Library Type Public Cost and Funding: No cost to library. Children attendees receive a book as a gift from the library. Books are either from our donations or purchased using funding received by the library to purchase books for children to take home. Refreshments purchased by the Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children Partnership: Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. Description: Santa visits the library and signs a story using American Sign Language. An interpreter speaks the story as Santa signs. The children sing songs and enjoy refreshments and receive treats and a book as gifts. Children can visit with Santa; an interpreter is used for children/families that do not know ASL.
