Library Type Academic Partnership: Therapy Dogs International Chapter 207 Pittsburgh, PA Description: On Reading Day (the day before final exams begin), we bring therapy dogs to the library for students to meet, pet, and hug as a stress reducer for students. We partner with Therapy Dogs International to bring dogs to the library. A staff member makes sure there are plenty of water dishes for the pups and also makes them treat bags. We also provide coffee for the dog handlers. This is our most popular event every year with close to 200 students attending each semester. |
