A Collaboration with local artists and the township art council to showcase and sell their wares at the library, the artists change quarterly, and each event is features a showcase for the artists and a reception for the public to meet them

Bring a book to read or pick one of our suggestions. Read whatever you want for about 45 minutes and then talk with fellow book lovers about what you’re reading. Feel free to bring blankets, pillows, or anything else to make you feel cozy! Snacks provided.

At this program, we will be joined by a registered nurse from our local hospital. During this program, we will learn about the importance of why health literacy is important to us, our loved ones, everyone. We will learn how to read prescriptions, how to make doctors appointments, and learn how to advocate for ourselves in a medical setting. We will also have time for a Q&A, where patrons can ask our guest speaker questions they want/need to know.

Brentwood Bank will teach us about the different types of loans that are available and how to calculate how much you can afford. We’ll also learn about different lending disclosures, the application process, and how to prepare your documentation to apply.

I reached out to Maria, who wrote a book about her father’s restaurant. She did not charge for the program, but did ask if she could sell books at the end. Join us for an evening with Maria Palmer, author of On the Rocks. On the Rocks chronicles the real-life journey of restaurateur Joseph Constanzo Jr., from his rise to success in the 1990s as an owner of the highly acclaimed Primadonna Restaurant, radio host, columnist, and aspiring politician to his sharp fall in the early 2000s, ending in an investigation and a stint in federal prison. Reads & Roasts: A Literary Coffee Tasting is an interactive and unique program that combines library books with specially chosen coffee blends. Participants sample four distinct coffee varieties, each thoughtfully selected by the Adult Services Librarian to reflect the setting, characters, and tone of four book titles. Attendees receive a curated menu featuring a synopsis of each book and quotes that connect the story to the paired coffee blend. This program fosters lively and meaningful discussions about books, coffee, storytelling elements, and the shared joy of reading.
