Come have a cup of hot cocoa while cozying up with your favorite blanket around our flashlight “fire”. Let’s chill out with stories of warmth, kindness, and personal triumphs. We will do some laid back crafts and fun activities focused on helping us relax and let go of stress or worries! Feel free to wear your pjs, bring a blanket, and/or a stuffed animal! Ages 5-9.
Learn MoreThis program will combine dramatic play, peer engagement and restaurant etiquette. We will be making hot chocolate, reading stories and creating some art during this cozy story hour! Feel welcome to dress comfy and stay relaxed during this program. Ages 3-7.
Learn MoreStorytime program in two parts. The first part is lead by the Children’s Librarian (Lisa Green) and she alternates stories and songs. The second part of the program is free play with library provided manipulatives. This way we provide structured activities that helps with the children’s literacy skills. We also provide opportunities for the children to do parallel play in a neutral environment and allows the guardians to converse while supervising their children.

Each story is based on scenarios obtained from Roll for Learning: 51 micro tabletop role-playing games to use in the classroom, edited by Camilla Zamboni, Matthew Farber, and William Merchant. The book can be found at https://playstorypress.org Each one of the scenarios are aligned to Common Core standards and based on ages, the scenarios provide the scene and what the children are expected to learn (or practice).

A separate registration is required for each of the four sessions (July 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th). Attendance at all four sessions is recommended, as daily projects will combine to form a culminating masterpiece. This program is open to all students entering grades 6-12.
