Combination of beginning programming, engineering, art, and group cooperation. Families reviewed how to program the Ozobots and discussed parades. (The annual Fourth of July parade is a very important local event in the this community). Children decorated balloons, made buildings from Legos, and drew the parade route.

Learn MoreWe are using the Discord platform to create a free server for our library teens to check-in and chat. We have several channels for posting, and are working on hosting a quarantine open mic night, gaming, writing prompts, book sharing, and more. We hope to continue using it in some form even after the isolating is lifted.

We showcase our students through a school wide art show, choral performances, and student instrumental music performances. The public library attends when possible to share information about summer reading opportunities

We provided flyers and links to Lancaster County Shopping and City of Lancaster Shopping as well as information on the benefits of supporting small businesses in the local community. This display supported the entrepreneurship programs on our campus.
Learn MoreThe local YMCA provided the Library with an instructor and materials at no cost and came to the Library to conduct the class which had over 50 adults, teens and children register. Participants learned some basic sign language signs and concluded the night with a talk on deaf culture. Plans are in the works to make it a monthly offering.
Learn MoreFunFest is a free event coordinated by the Adams County Library System that kicks off Summer Quest. It is held at the local recreation park in Gettysburg and it features activities for the entire family, including face painting, balloon art and more.
