Teen and Youth Services Librarian, Carrie Lowery runs a weekly Sensory Storytime for children ages 2-6. It is a welcoming and friendly environment. During the storytime, children and caregivers listen to stories, sing songs, and do rhymes in a unique way. Following the storytime, the children can play with sensory activities. Ms. Carrie also brings in community partners such as occupational and physical therapists to speak to the parents. She has also brought in a service dog to meet the children and learn about safety when approaching unfamiliar animals

The 1 hour presentation will include insight into children and teens lives with social media as well as strategies for parents to help their children navigate the social media sphere safely. It is our goal that parents will leave the presentation feeling confident that they can empower their child(ren) to use social media responsibility, safely, and in a manner that benefits their mental wellness.
