Yoga is an excellent skill for children to learn and practice, and helps them improve both physical and mental health! This free, 45 minute program will be led by Brittany Grala, a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200 and RCYT) who specializes in yoga for children and teens! Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel to practice on; a limited number of mats will be provided for free.
Learn MoreIn partnership with our local Physical Therapy office we held a workshop to address back and sciatica pain. In this workshop our patrons learned what causes these physical issues, relief through exercises, and healthy lifelong habits to continue to feel good. This program went over really well with the community. It was free, informative about their health concerns without making them feel put on the spot, and gave them the tools to repair their body without expensive equipment.
Learn MoreWe reached out to a local arborist about doing a presentation for trees for Earth Day. They sent a master arborist to discuss trees, answer tree care questions, and give away free seedlings. They even planted a tree at the library!

This is a freestyle craft event where you can make a sculpture, painting, or collage without any pressure to make something “good.” Let your creativity flow without worrying about mistakes! Afterwards, keep your art or bring it to the front desk for the library to display.
Art materials, including some ridiculous ones, will be provided. All ages are welcome. No registration necessary for this free event.

Utilizing a creative writing prompt and knowledge from various Earth and space science books, teenagers worked on creating a world of their own. Styrofoam balls, paint, stickers, and clay were used to give a visual representation that they could hang where they wanted. “On Another Planet” questions varied from what the planet would look like to the laws it would have to what they would eat and even the weather, as well as jobs and languages

Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal to get a check up.
MedExpress brings basic tools like a stethoscope, thermometer, bandages, and x-rays to show kids what
tools may be used if they visit the doctor.
This program is appropriate for 3-6 year olds.

Spice Club is a monthly grab-and-go culinary exploration program. Each month, Spice Club spotlights a carefully selected spice, providing participants with a sample, an in-depth write-up on its history and culinary applications, interesting facts, and sample recipe cards.
